Libertia pronounced as in “Liberty” is a Family Run Kennels run by Peri & Mark Burnside & their Children. We Moved to Ireland for the enhancement of our two breeds in both show & domestic circles. Libertia have Bordeauxs & Akita-Inu, & have recently introduced Chow-Chow to our kennels. Since moving to Ireland we have enjoyed success within the show ring, The Bordeauxs attracting great interest among the public & judges. This wonderful breed can be shown & judged on its own merits, now that Bordeauxs have their own classification within the working group unlike England, where they can only be judged on A.V. Working Import Register.

Like every breed of Dog temperament is a must, It is THE MOST IMPORTANT QUALITY any dog can possess, next of course to health. We at Libertia have carefully selected all our dogs, for excellent temperaments, we only breed to attain sound temperaments, through our study & knowledge of genetics. We rear our puppies within our home environment until they are 5 weeks old, when we then introduce them to their kennel mates & the outside world. They are in constant contact with children, & the usual household noises. Good socialisation gives everyone especially dogs an excellent start in life.
